If you’ve been in care, the Greater Manchester Care Leavers Guarantee offers tailored support to help you live a happy, healthy life and achieve your goals.

All 10 local authorities across Greater Manchester, alongside many partner organisations, have come together to offer a range of support and opportunities, including:

  • Access to education, training and jobs
  • Help with housing and living independently
  • Support for your physical and mental health
  • Financial advice and guidance

One-to-one support

Sometimes things get complicated, and you might need more hands-on support. If you've stopped receiving help from other services, or you're finding things overwhelming, we can support you.

Our Tenancy Support Team provides one-to-one support for people in complex situations. We focus on early help, working with you to stay independent and in control of your home life.

Support moving into a new home

Moving into a new home, especially your first tenancy, can feel like a lot to manage. We offer up to three months’ support to help you settle in. We can help with:

  • Understanding your tenancy agreement and contacting us
  • Claiming benefits and maximising your income
  • Registering with a doctor or local services
  • Getting help from specialist support organisations
  • Finding out what’s available in your area
  • Help getting furniture
  • Practical advice on decorating and maintaining your home
